Urban sketching presents a new way to approach watercolor, perspective, and line work. In this 4 week workshop we will utilize a gridding technique to translate image to paper, shading through line, and abstraction through loose, expressive representation—where accuracy supports understanding, not perfection.

This class is for any beginner or someone that wants to challenge their usual style. If you’d like to join feel free to bring in some images of urban settings and if you don’t have this some will be provided to choose from.

Materials provided, and feel free to bring your own: watercolor paper, watercolors, a pencil, a ruler, and a set of ink pens such as the brand Micron.
