This is a MAKE A GIFT WORKSHOP with Christina Bengtson.
In this special Holiday Gifting Edition Torch Basics class, students will learn safety and use of the butane micro torch, while creating adjustable rings. These are perfect for gift giving or complimenting your own holiday wardrobe. In class, we’ll cover all the basic equipment for fire use, flame control, cleaning metals, gauging, annealing, work hardening, flattening, texturing, and shaping wire. Students will explore working with sterling silver, fine silver, and copper.
This is also the prerequisite class for continued silversmithing work and the many possibilities it offers. No prerequisites for this class.
The torch class is a single 3.5 hr. class with multiple dates offered.
